Good, but summarizes often. Much is "left to the reader--" enough for my teacher to assign filling in two pages worth of holes for a midterm problem :/

I picked this up and opened it blind because it was available at my library. The cover & title made me expect something like a Kristin Hannah novel. And there definitely is similar drama, but I am also fascinated by his characters and his depiction of Christianity in a far-off part of the world. Got me thinking

This thing I liked about Going Postal was Moist's cleverness (or lack thereof) and the rollercoaster of making a bet and forcing it to pay off. This one hasn't yet got there, though there are parts I enjoy. I'm dnf-ing for now; hope to return when I'm more open-minded

I've never read Terry Pratchet and chose this one because I liked the show when I was little. I think, in terms of picking words to describe a world, Pratchet does it with the most art and skill of anything I've ever read. I'm amazed. Can't wait to finish

Characters are absurdly tropey. There was no time before she started being grossly attracted to the new guy. Will not finish.
