Kind of an crazy move to write a wildly prodigious poem about traveling through Hell and then depict all of the people you dislike being horrifically tortured there. And also to have all of the famous dudes you looked up to telling you how awesome you are. And also have a woman that you met a couple times and were infatuated with be one of your personal guardian angels.

This is entertaining af lmfao.

Kinda of a slow-burn so far, but it's enchanting.

If you didn’t catch it the first 4 times, she’s wearing a Jack Torrance shirt and she’s not like the other girls because she likes horror fiction. Maybe you’ll understand that after the 400th mainstream horror movie reference in 20 minutes.

Was hoping for more horror going into this this one, but so far it's kind of lacking in that regard. Still interesting, but hopefully it takes a turn in the second half.

Very well written and enthralling, but so far I vastly prefer the TV adaptation. There's gay undertones here, obviously, but the show was so confident and overt in its gay romance and the tragedy of Louis and Lestat's love for each other that I'm just left wanting reading the novel. So far, I also much prefer the TV versions of Louis, Lestat, and Claudia.

This might end up as a DNF for me lol. The premise and science of it is cool, but I really didn't expect the book to be this joke-y/quippy. Real Marvel movie writing vibes and I don't typically enjoy that style.
