I don’t like Robert and Mary. I don’t like some of the writing something about something tasting like a promise. But I am loving everything art about this book. Everything.

Slow. But engaging. I was frustrated that Marlow won’t ask the obvious questions but if he did the book would be over and I am enjoying the portrayal of human ache, ineptitude, limitations, depicted so blaringly and painfully in this book. Marlow and I are very different people and he is teaching me tolerance for someone else’s process and gratitude for my own.
