FMC and MC don't really draw me in individually and their chemistry isn't convincing.

Why on earth would she help someone who straight out lied, not just throwing her under the bus with denials but accused her of predatory and manipulative behaviour 10 years ago and just gave her the cold shoulder a couple of months prior?
And clearly she's trying to manipulate lawyer Sue, 28 yo.

It just doesn't make sense.
This one is heading for the worst of Cheyenne titles I've read.

There's only so much assholery you can take from a MC and her selfish, trailer trash , alcoholic , adult-avoidant behaviour at 75% into the book (1/2 way into the bonfire chapter) has pretty much crossed it. There's zero empathy and really she didn't deserve to be saved at this stage, she isn't unique , at all, in actively choosing to fail.
It's going to be a hard sell how the author writes her out of this

Yikes. 30yo responsibility-avoidant teenager-coded everyone owes me a life , emotionally immature scam artist Cammy is really an anchor, I guess the book will end with his unearned inheritance from his grandma who's been doing all the heavy lifting her entire life and in this book for him too.

Gabriel is such a creep.
And his guardian story and punishment by who? Is such a blackhole of logic .
I think the smut scene is next ( chapter 14) to distract readers that's its such a dumb book

This is engrossing and incredible writing.
The research into the historical event and woven into the protagonists and their backstory is fantastic.

Henry cruelty doesn't make sense and OOC .

...i mean... I'm sure it's a cute Sapphic story, but the premise is kind of insanely stupid!
Olivia wants her childish dream job and branding of Sapphire blooms to be green, all natural , low to zero transport miles. Her Supply Chain is threatened ( not economically sustainable) and she refuses to compromise or get her hands dirty upstream and it suddenly it becomes Roz problem to solve.

Are they really 44yo and 40yo? Haley Cass writes early 20s better

I'm trying to understand the motivation and PoV of FMC2. Fiona is her brother girlfriend... why make a move on her? It just doesn't make sense. On the verge of DNF.
