A YA book that's very sophisticated!

Chapter 12 is killing me.

Soooooo... Rebecca essentially forced the under performing Sabine to take a 2 week leave and then she turned up at Sabine private home unannounced , using coincided their leave. Rebecca didn't even ask for the PII address for that purpose.
Within 3 pages they are going at it like rabbits.

This is very well written with both MCs fleshed out with their own priorities and agency at 25% mark. 35yo /40yo represented.

What's going on? It started good.
There was enough from her maladjusted children before her descent into unprofessional behaviour. Note her voice and her kids voices and mentality start sounding the same.

Mainly a whodunit.
And mending a shaky relationship

Funny. Yet lived. Felicity is in an Uncomfortable over arching situational environment.
Well written and narrated so far.

Cinnamon roll Tori does it all , the guilt, labour, and repair while helping sell Mia deceased mother's house while Mia just wants validation and everything on her terms. She wants lesbian Tori to explicitly admit she has a crush on Straight Mia 14 years prior. What a ****.
30+ yo but written YA.

For 33 year olds they , Mia particularly , act and are written like YA.
She's manipulative, entitled, self pitying, responsibility avoidant, self destructive.
We haven't seen her need to address any real world concerns of working, community etc , as she focuses on rekindling her relationship with Tori when they were 18 yo.

This one is weird.
The writing level is pretty simplified.
The story is... Average.

Lee Winter writes amazingly.
Narration by Claire Alain is very good too.
