The sandalwood thing is weird too and getting on my nerves

3 1/2 hours in and I’m bored and I’m not a fan of basically any of the characters expect for Kayla and maybe Tim. Nothing has happened…just going back and forth and she keeps repeating herself. Brooke not being as mad at Shayne makes zero sense.

I feel this book didn’t get good until almost the end like 70% of the way. Maybe it was because I was confused. I don’t think I needed nor understood Mary and Eliza’s story. I enjoyed learning about Jess. Lucy wasn’t really important to me either…
