interested to see how this goes. I didn’t love a different AA book i’ve read but this one has gripped me quickly. we shall see!

45 pages in, not gripping me. so much repetition of the same sentences and phrases and concepts over and over. i’m sure in its original french prose it’s so much better but in translated english it is just… bland. for me. only 145 pages total tho so I feel like I should just power thru.

for real gagging in real life at page 201. this is THE first moment in any book i’ve read where my shock and horror was so visceral i’ve had to pause to eminem’s collect myself.

there’s been some effed up stuff in the precious few pages but shelley and kent in the cellar is absolutely ruining my whole goddamn evening.
