you know it’s serious when i slow down my normal listening speed because i have to TAKE IN EVERY DETAIL

ordered this gorgeouuuus UK cover from blackwells as soon as it was announced and now finally i have the chance to devour this… katherine arden my beloved!!! i loooove her character work and how she does perspectives. what a treat for me this week

found this on Libby while looking for the original, then found a podcast episode with the author and his daughter for the 100th year anniversary of the novel’s publishing. it was a great introduction to his style (and enthusiasm!!) and i’m really enjoying listening to these lectures, alternating with the chapters of ulysses they cover!

a few lines at the end of “odyssey” where stephen fry describes ulysses were SO compelling that now i am here. and we shall see if i prevail!

going back to this before i get too far ahead in the Troy audiobook compared to where i am in the Iliad 😀

was nervously skipping book 2 to get here and then in the intro stephen fry said that was totally fine to do!! 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ thank you sir fry!!
