The removal of the Magic suppressing collar that was forced on to Acker in the ending of the last book is never addressed.

I find it funny Jovie is mad at Acker when she’s the one who betrayed him after he confessed his love for her in front of everyone while she had poisoned the people of his father’s court. Moral compass a little off kilter

Remind me why this war is Aker’s fault? and wasn’t brought on by Brynn/Jovie, Kai, and rebels? The mate/match bond is stupidly carried on even with the ultimate betrayal of Jovie. Too many authors use this trope. That the men are punching bags who keep coming back for more. I find it annoying especially when it’s repeated in so many books.

Jumps ahead in time to Fallon’s and Lore’s daughter, Isla, at 24-25 years old mostly during her time in Glace with King Konstantin

Never a dull moment

I’m glad Fallon’s stupid brattiness has played out even though it stopped abruptly. All it took was a * with her mate. Eye roll 🙄

Author has turned Fallon into an annoying angry brat who is brainlessly putting herself and Phoebus in danger with not even a hint of a plan thought out. Fated mates with the King Crow, whom she hates, even though he hasn’t done much to deserve it. Used and dumped by Dante who she remains loyal to.

Slump is over. Good story.

Not a good book to anyone who has/had to deal with narcissistic abuse

Narcissistic sociopathic Prince Bram, trauma bonded Lydia, sociopathic Fae who torture Humans, broken Emmet, broken ex-Queen Mor, Queen Ivy and her entourage are the only ones who are capable of doing something to end the abuse. This story is a bit repulsive so far

This book took a while to get into. Maybe about halfway through it started to snowball into late-night-can’t-put-it-down page turner. Flirty Prince. Slow burn. Good banter. Animal sidekicks. Laughs. Tears. Cliffhanger ending

Has definitely gotten a lot better
