I find it funny Jovie is mad at Acker when she’s the one who betrayed him after he confessed his love for her in front of everyone while she had poisoned the people of his father’s court. Moral compass a little off kilter

Remind me why this war is Aker’s fault? and wasn’t brought on by Brynn/Jovie, Kai, and rebels? The mate/match bond is stupidly carried on even with the ultimate betrayal of Jovie. Too many authors use this trope. That the men are punching bags who keep coming back for more. I find it annoying especially when it’s repeated in so many books.
