minor gripe i had with the other books shows up here too. that is, the british characters pronounce lieutenant in american english, but with a british accent. other than that, the reader is doing an amazing job with these books!

tonight the moon is ours: fairy faith in the countryside combined with city teen boy crushing on local girl. spooky and full of so many gorgeous sentences!

halfway thru and i honestly don't know what the main plot is supposed to be. the calls are cool, i enjoy those a lot. i don't care about joaquin at all tho.

a little over halfway through the willow part and i dunno. it's not "men writing women" so much as maybe some "men writing young/teenage women" as mean girls in a way that feels a bit over the top stereotypical? but maybe the house is to blame, idk

this is such a ride. nothing is a surprise and it's not a wild story imo, but it's entertaining and the audiobook is good for a listen on my commute.

how the night receives them: short and sweet with some very gorgeous prose, about evil, being remembered, and ghosts.
