I’ve been HOOKED

Hmmmmmm.
I am intrigued and hooked, but do I like it yet? That's still up for debate. I would maybe like a bit more romance to have set in more than 50% of the way into the book, but I guess this is a REAL slow burn. So far, I am finding myself unable to put this book down, but I just wish the romantic developments were slightly further along making me excited for it.

Why have I been putting off reading this book for so long????

I've rolled my eyes so many times in the last few chapters. The nuance is missing. I'll dnf this one.

This book is cruel. It's written as multiple short excerpts from the lives of these two abused women. And lately, for these last few chapters, each excerpt is a heartbreaking revelation.

Everytime Eva is faced with two choices, she always chooses wrong and regrets it the very next instant. And somehow, her choices are always justified and make sense 🥴

Hassan literally has my whole heart. The number of times I've cried for him.

That said, I think I have a small disagreement with how the plot progresses. But more on that in the review.

The tears just don't stop.
