LitRPG. A good book so far, quite humorous. I can see me working my way through all these.

Interesting read. It's JUST like Columbo! I've now read the part where the murder has been done and its when Dr Thorndyke (aka Columbo) turns up. I'm now wondering if he has 'One more question' :)

Writing style is very of the time but I like it.

Hmmm... the author is trying to be clever. Sudden veer in a different direction. Not sure if I'm on board. I'll continue and perhaps finish this one , see if I fancy any more. I read his 'House of Silk' and the answer was obvious, but we'll see.

Standard Asher fayre. Hard-edged and pretty callous in places; it will be interesting how things pan out.

The pages are not that dense, and I believe the book is in chronological order. A lot of the older verses are somewhat lost on me; the language is too archaic and perhaps I lack the grounding and nuances of double meanings.

Some are good, usually the darker ones. Ones about ladies are not really me. Ezra Pound is mentioned and is ok: but Fascist!

Three poems in. Had a break. Just read 'Elegy' by Chidiock Titchborne which I have found more moving due to the circumstances - written *just* before he was hung, drawn and quartered for treason, as a part of the Babington Plot to assassinate Elizabeth I.

Interesting in a way, getting better as it continues and looks at the nitty gritty aspects of human interactions.

Still quite interesting. The short chapters give bite-sized stories which encompass the whole, dipping in and out of story streams.

2 poems in. I like the fact that James has the poem then discusses what he thinks the poem means.

So far I can work out he's was a randy old git. :)

Interesting. Small chapters, easily digested. Unfortunately easily nibbled and put down. Need to get on with it!

Still chugging through it. Working towards the IC(analogue) section. Have been doing some of the experiments, Just done the 555 experiment to create an astable vibrator. Next: high/low pass filters.

Not bad so far but there are some confusing bits. Capacitors could have been explained a little simpler (for some reason they always tie my brain in knots!) but there are some typos. For example two defs on t1 for tau and then T1=0.7t1. Where's the 0.7 come from? inverse root 2?

Interesting book, plenty of facts. Unfortunately stupid people aren't going to be interested. Most depressing.

This audiobook is the one one I have listened to which I prefer to actually reading which is weird for me. This narrator and story is absolutely hilarious. Why haven't *I* got a Fairy Dragmother? This Book Is Fab (must be true because capitals!).

And soooooooooo gay. Lots of gay references in there but no actual shagging. I could so slap the two main characters upside the head with this.

So far I’m ready to give up. The dialogue is repetitive and crap. The dialogue always seems to end with “ me old ______”. One page kept using the word “swain”. People are comparing this to PG Wodehouse, but his characterisations are a joy to read. This is more grating...

Not bad. I liked the story, worked out who the baddie was (fairly easy if you think about it) and it was an interesting read. The main character, however, is a bit of a jerk and I found it really hard to take to him and as a consequence the rating is affected.

I have been listening to Old Time Radio Detectives and one was "The Saint" played by Vincent Price. I found it funny, entertaining and interesting. This book, however, seems very poorly written. It *feels* as if it is just a plaything of the author as opposed to a piece of work.

Starts off really well with lots of references to my youth and then improves. I can see the plot structure clearly but it is still a damned good read so far! I have no idea how they will make this into a film, the intellectual rights costs would be enormous!
