Oh hell no. That Kings’ Meet scene was straight up bullshit. Why TF would the Kings’ Meet guards let a foreign king with no authority over them pass judgment on the man who is clearly their rightful king?

This book is so damn frustrating. The author telegraphs the ending so early, and then everything else after that is one near Miss after another.

Cameron is the absolute worst. I’d this story is going where it seems to be going, I’m not very invested in his success.

I’m already getting a feeling for where all these divergent storylines are going to connect. Not sure how I feel about that.

So Jesse was a sex worker that almost never had sex with his clients? 🤔 what a cop out

THEY’RE 25?!? And somehow has a whole international musical career behind him? And what’s the fuck with everyone dragging him for coming home like he was in prison or something?

These two are the least likely MCs ever. They still go to parties with HS friends. How old are they? One is such a famous musician he gets hounded everywhere, but is retired from music, works in a shop, and has no money? The other is a mechanic who used to be a sex worker. His family knows but he has to keep it secret from everyone else? If it weren’t free would be so pissed with how stupid this book is.

Okay, my expectations were low for this, but this is just silly. Silly graphic smut with unrealistic relationships.

Reading this one for a book event. It’s so cringe. I’m clearly not the audience for this.

This book is incredibly sweet and the slowest of slow burns.

I’m so sorry, but David is clearly taking advantage of the power imbalance. A politician who invites a staffer to his room, strips naked and pushes the staffer up against the wall while the staffer is expressing reservations is a POS.

Ugh. When three men in their thirties want to form a group with a teenage girl, that’s just creepy. Especially in Victorian England when just being alone with a man could ruin a woman’s reputation. Where are all the women in this story?

Good lord. The amount of scandalous behavior Emma gets up to yet somehow never destroys her reputation is only equaled by the number of romantic MMCs who are enthralled by her every witticism.

It’s 60% in this book and now it makes me cry? Cameron’s story absolutely gutted.

The writing in this one is weak. It doesn’t make me care about the characters.

The way this book has my emotions in a chokehold, laughing one minute and crying the next

When the inciting incident for the whole book is on the cover, it shouldn’t take this long to get to it. But..the shower scene had me laughing out loud, so that’s good.

I love the way the physical affection is described from Simon’s POV. It’s more a description of Simon’s feelings and perceptions than a graphic description of sex.

Cat Sebastian has a direct line to my emotions. Laughing, crying, feeling all the feelings for Simon and Charlie. 💕

Man is Greer annoying. Why has she spent all these years self-sabotaging her life and relationships over the death of a “friend” who treated her mid at best? Why does she imply the end of her relationship with Trevor was his fault when it was clearly hers? She avoided her mom and her family for years for what exactly?

Only 5% in and I’m already considering quitting. The MC seems like a sad sack for no reason and her roommate is already annoying me.

Considering the grim and gory plot of this book, it is unexpectedly delightful! I certainly didn’t expect to be rooting for body thieves. The relationship between the MCs is so well done, and the secondary characters are an interesting lot.

It was also an interesting look at a grim piece of history. It made me want to start researching resurrectionists jn Edinburgh to learn more.

I hate this so much. Why tf would Javier pick Grace if he genuinely had feelings for Ciera?

The rules, format, and broadcast schedule of this reality show make no sense. They would be filming all the time, and they would film and edit the whole season before airing. They filmed and aired one day (the same day?!?) , and after one episode she won over all the viewers and someone was voted off by fans? It’s been less than a week. How many episodes have aired? Is it daily? 🙄

Cheese and Crackers. What is their obsession with drowning each other?

Oh boy. The three horny “bears” just found Goldilocks asleep in their cabin and are already planning to do bad things to her. If I weren’t reading this for a book club I’d never have picked it. At least the writing is good, even if the subject matter isn’t my cup of tea.

Okay, there’s way too much of this book left. Taylor and Huck are finally both on the same page for the first time ever so of course they’ll be separated by circumstances. 🙄
