What the fuck is going on

This book reeks of misogyny. I can't imagine what desperate, pathetic woman would write such a thing. I'm considering deserting it.

The pacing is a little too fast for my taste and they're not enough indications how much time passed

My first impression of this book is that the first black character in the series, is described really oddly. There is a lot of emphasis on her "fat", "huge", "enormous" body. She is deaf and apparently also dumb because she writes like an 8 year old. Futhermore, V.C Andrews named this character Henrietta Beech. It seems she only added this character to humiliate her in every possible way. I'm deducting a star.

“It hurts to be beautiful” is a cliche I grew up with. “It hurts
not to be beautiful” is a truth I acquired on my own.

Been dragging this book for months. Ik the next chapter is about fuckass buddy Willard. I dont want to read about that guy.

OMG I DONT WANN KEEP READING, I DONT WANT IT TO END: IT MAKES ME SO SAD THINKING ABOUT IT! I think this will be one of those books that I'll procrastinate on for months...
