My first impression of this book is that the first black character in the series, is described really oddly. There is a lot of emphasis on her "fat", "huge", "enormous" body. She is deaf and apparently also dumb because she writes like an 8 year old. Futhermore, V.C Andrews named this character Henrietta Beech. It seems she only added this character to humiliate her in every possible way. I'm deducting a star.
