This chapter was really touching. I enjoyed the commentary from Michael and Carolyn about wasting away marriages, and I thought the letter from Francesca to her children was a great summary of what happened during those four days and that while Robert may have been a dream of hers, she was unable to chase that dream because of her established responsibilities.

I knew this death was coming, and I still felt the pain that Francesca must be feeling.

I enjoyed the flashback to when Conn met Kate and Tom, as well as the setup for what might become a troubling girl situation for Tom.

While I wasn’t too intrigued by the love scenes of the previous chapter, I did enjoy the dialogue between Robert and Francesca in this chapter.
