My guess would be victor is trying to make a new god. If the public sees this new monster who can tackle anything thrown at it with ease,and connect some obsessive magic to the video, then bam: new God is born through the public’s belief.

But it can’t be that simple can it? Please tell me that’s not the big mystery?

“Who’s your favorite?”

She studied the nearest rack, then moved a little over and put her hands on a Toy Bonnie head.

Blue snorted. “Oh flattery will get you everywhere, sweetpea, even places you don’t really want to go.”

“Look at you, pretending you’re totally okay with anything I do when you have no idea—” Just that fast, his eyes were black and his voice had become an ear-splitting roar. “—what I could do to you! Do you think you’re safe? Huh? Why? Because you’re his? Ha! I’m his!” he shouted, blasting her ears with static and electronic noise. “Was I safe?”

“I know you can kill me. I know you don’t need a reason. I know I can’t stop you. The only thing I’m in control of is how I respond to that knowledge and I choose not to have hysterics. Deal with it.”

His ears twitched, registering pulses of amusement, irritation and curiosity. “Tough little cookie. No sugar, all spice. But I bet I can make you crumble.”

"the point is, if I kill you now, it’d be like…like turning to the last page of a book before you read it, you know? I mean, full disclosure, I’m going to kill you,” he said matter-of-factly. “But we can have some fun first, right?”

He could have broken her ribs, her back, her skull. He chose to knock the wind out of her. Playing with her, like a cat with a mouse.
She didn’t release the prybar. It wasn’t defiance. She knew she was caught. It was pure reflex, the last desperate instinct of the dying. She had clutched at loose blades of grass and floating twigs in the water that night her mother had tried to drown her. This was no different.

“Oh fuck me,” Ana blurted as realization slapped into her.

Blue’s staring eyes blinked. He laughed—Bonnie’s laugh, not the stage-hyucking that he hated, but his own good-natured laugh—and it was Bonnie’s voice she heard when he said, “Lady, we just met.”

In the very next instant, he had surged onto his feet and was sprinting at her.

Starting the audio book! I’ve heard great things about the male main characters voice.

This book has really rounded out! I was pretty worried in the beginning, and 7 guys is still a LOT lol, but I’m excited by how long this book is and the sexy scenes to come.

These men are so fucking delusional. Approach a single young girl at a bar, invite yourself to sit with her, bombard her with questions, block her in physically with your friends. How is any of this behavior okay? I don’t understand how blind the author is to how predatory and aggressive they are to her, and they are supposed to be the “good” pack???

Kind of let down this isn’t the same very well done “human pet” trope the first series was done in. Actually, REALLY let down.

This story is really interesting, but I dislike how the MMC IS instantly connected and protective and worried about the MFC. It’s too intense too quickly.

This entire scene with her "Grandfathers", and the dialog is REALLY clunky. I'm going to try to push through to see if it gets better but I don't have a lot of hope for this one.

Getting a little bit frustrated how she keeps doing stuff for people for free just because they asked her, and then those same people turn around and won’t do the simplest thing unless she promises them a favor. Like hello? Refuse and tell them it will cost them a favor!?!!! She’s constantly, needlessly indebting herself.

Holy fuck, 35% in and most of what I've read so far has been exposition and info dumps. There only just enough outside of that to keep me pushing through though, so hopefully this is worth it.

I'm dying for a UF Romance series. There's only so many times I can reread Kate Daniels, The Night Huntress, Fever & The Mercedes Thompson series. Anyone have any newer UF Series?

Or, I did start a few of the more popular ones & stop after the first/second books, maybe let me know if these get better:

He pulled her suddenly close and smiled, his bunny-muzzle splitting down the front, plastic plates aligning themselves to form a broad grin, baring his deceptively flat-topped teeth. Behind this smile, his second jaws glinted. “Hi there!” he purred, staring without blinking into her eyes. “I’m your best buddy, Bonnie the Bunny!”

"Love you, big bear,” she croaked.

“I love you, too. We all love you and we want you home. I’m sorry, but I have to hang up now. I’ve got to go to the freezer.”

“Plenty of air. Just as long as there isn’t any heavy breathing,” he replied with a challenging arch of his brow.

She might be pretending that nothing happened between them, but he wasn’t about to.

“Well, then I am safe. Absolutely safe,” she stressed.

A slow smile curled his mouth. The lady doth protest too much, indeed.
