So I’m about an hour and a half into the second book and I’m liking it a lot. It’s a very different perspective from the last one but its arguably more intriguing then the first book so far.

Finished book 1 Annihilation. Have some gripes but overall it was much easier to listen to than read. I still love the atmosphere that is so intensely bizarre and surreal. But dear lord the pitfalls of a man writing a woman. Every time the character mentions anything about her sex life I cringe hard.

What an intro!

I was correct in my assumption that an audiobook would be easier.

Had a very hard time reading annihilation at the beginning of the year. It was not captivating enough to keep me reading, though I did push through and finish it. And I like it I just couldn’t make myself read more in the series. But let’s see if listening to the audio book will be any better

Bad bitch Zoe bein a queen. Period.

Somebody come fix my heart strings. I sobbed at the end of the first book and I fear these last 100 pages are gonna break me.

Really enjoying the tension at the school. It’s less about learning and growing to survive like the first year and more about the repercussions of all the went down at the end of the first year. There’s people activity out to silence and kill her and it’s great. Also the sense of change makes things really heavy like Andarna growing and sgeayl and tairn being forced about creating tension.
