ngl i started reading it fully expecting to be like no longer human and lets say im pleasantly surprised. murakami's literally infamous for being sexist and yet he's (currently) less misogynistic than yozo. its actually going off to a great start! better than a lot of translations (*cough cough* a diary of a madman, the overcoat, crime and punishment)
