Hadrian spoke with lorian, then later with albé and ghoshal to prove that it really is him and not some extrasolarian copy.

Hadrian spoke to a watcher, one of good instead of evil. It protected the cradle which housed the quiet. Hadrian was given the choice to restart his life from where the quiet interfered in book one, a fresh start with no destiny but no suffering. He chose not to for Cassandra, and was reborn.

Hadrian sailed for forum to announce to the emperor that the watcher escaped. There he encountered Lorian again, as well as Selene. He was poisoned and dissolved by the chantry, by a member of the choir. The halfmortal died again. He now is at th end of time, in the temple of the quiet, and has just met his god.

A lot has happened. Marlowe and Cassandra set out to find one of the watchers. They have been at a dig site of an Enar city. Mysterious, almost mystical deaths have been taking place, caused by the watcher. Only Hadrian has seen it. Now the cielcin come, with a painted man. Marlowe and his daughter are prisoners.

Hadrian has a daughter, Cassandra. Nearly 200 years have passed since the last book. They live on Jadd, with the protection of the rulers. An emissary came to speak with Hadrian from the emperor, and from his home planet Delos. Marlowe’s father is dead, and he is being pardoned for a new mission.

Hadrian had a secret meeting with the Emperor. Learned a lot about the history of the empire and their knowledge of the quiet and watchers. There was an assassination attempt on Hadrian’s life. He, valka, lorian, and bassander Lin were sent with a company to investigate a MINOS outpost. It was a trap (?) and now valka and Marlowe are held captive by the extrasolarian urbaine.

Caesar received the three remaining members of the Meidua Red Company, and hailed Hadrian a hero. Hadrian spoke to Bassander Lin, who told him of the people who were not pleased he was alive and present.

The halfmortal is healed, and has trained with oliva to become at least some level of the warrior he used to be. Now they have gone to Carteia, to stand before the emperor.

Hadrian and valka are confined to the madarro house on Nessus. They are still being questioned, and doctors have begun to heal Hadrian.

We learned who Gibson was. Valka and Marlowe are now leaving Colchis to go back to Nessus. Hadrian meets Hector Oliva, a sailor/commander in the imperial navy, who is escorting him between systems.

Pallino, otavia, and every member of the red company is dead, all ninety thousand, butchered on Eue, the planet of the cielcin. By the skin of their teeth, Hadrian and valka barely escaped.

Dorayaica is something else now, with silver blood. Hadrian wounded him, and was rescued (?) by many of his old crew. Bastien Durand, elara, and crim are now dead.

Marlowe had a vision in which he saw the enar and their suicde ritual. There was a grand procession to the skull/temple. Dorayaica summoned all the aeta, bringing Hadrian. He proceeded to wipe them out with a gas poison.

They have made it to akterumu, the great city in which Hadrian foresaw his death. The other aeta of the cielcin are coming to pay tribute and submit to dorayaica.

The cielcin feasted.

Hadrian has been tortured, brutalized. I had thought the misery of Darrow in the box and the beginning of Morning star was bad, but this is so much worse.

Marlowe is back in prison. This time it’s aboard syriani dorayaica’s worldship, at least I think.

The lothrian commonwealth betrayed Hadrian and tried to kill/capture him. It’s unknown what happened to the rest of the crew, whether they escaped or not, but Marlowe was captured. Now he is being sold to the cielcin.

Really good, still battling for berenike. Hadrian and his party are just entering the cielcin dropship that has a massive orbital laser it’s heading towards the storm wall with.

Berenike is under attack. Hadrian barely holds the storm wall, the fleet surrounding the planet destroyed. I’ve a feeling that soon we may encounter the cielcin leader Syriani Dorayaica.

They found the ruins and are mapping them out, Hadrian is about to have a vision I think? Got forced to put down at since Jake decided we were drinking.
