Damn what tragedy Katerina’s kids are going through, RIP, and also Rodya just found out that Svridgailov had heard everything he spoke with Sofia that night which obliges him I think to befriend him now and speak good of him to Dounia

The whole funeral dinner ceremony seemed just so funny to me, and Luzhin’s whole plan to make Sofia seem like a thief and regain trust from Rodya’s family was kinda cruel ngl😭 He has also CONFESSED to it for the first time, and though he thought it would help him coming to Sonia, apparently he is even more unhappier now …

Just started on Part V, and have to say that I love the appearance of Porfiry Petrovich, and all the mind games / cat and mouse (also didn’t expect Rodya’s article on ordinary and extraordinary men which was accurate to his actual situation). Really interesting also was the appearance of the man “from the underground” at Rodya’s lodgings.

This book is great, it’s my introduction to Dostoyevsky and I love it! Just over halfway done with it and it is mind boggling just how deep Dostoyevsky can go into the human psychology and describe guilt with such accuracy
