yearly october read. Like Julian said- in the same way I believe that it is better to know one book intimately that a hundred superficially! octobers are empty without Donna.

my whole ipad fell out of my hand. that came out of nowhere

ngl i prefer the older generation

man the generational colonies pain / trauma be fkin me up. “Patriotism is just an idea.” FUCKED me up

i know there’s a show but idk much about it besides LMH being in it and now that the war is over, i can tell 10000% lee min ho is HANSU

“You’re living for a dream of a home that no longer exists.”

man all i do is CRY

bye i cant stop crying lol. my eyes are burning from reading on my phone so much but idc, this is easily one of my best reads this year!

a good read, really, this is going well!

the build upppp. please don’t let me down😭

AH im on chapter 5 and WHY ISNT ANYONE REALLY LISTENING TO THE KID???? HELLO????

as someone who doesn’t care for LA at all, i find the constant “oh LA is so cool!” very performative. heck i get annoyed when people stretch the “oh that’s new york for you” as well. yes it is fun to see those times, that culture through babitz’s lens. but i also feel like she’s waxing poetic about some very shallow stuff. but that’s just me- i’ve never been drawn to male centered stuff anyway

“A gift from one’s father could not be whorish.” i can’t stop CRYING

you have peace…when you make it with yourself.

cant put it down haha. altho i don’t care about baseball! but i guess that’s the point right lol

But perhaps if the details are all put together, a certain pulse and sense of place will emerge, and the integrity of empty space with occasional figures in the landscape can be understood at leisure and in full, no matter how fast the company…

reading Babitz on my phone because iPad doesn’t draw me in like it used to.
