read most of it till i switched over to audiobook while doing chores. phew!

yall i’ll be fr with you. i didn’t really pay attention to why this was on my WTR and just picked it up on Hoopla cus i got my march borrows. i am only realizing now that this is david copperfield. and idk how but i’ve fully lost myself in this retelling. it took me a second to put two and two together. i don’t really “look” books up, i literally judge them by cover, title, and hearsay. lol

i hadn’t realized just what the “apprenticeship”was here until i really started being absorbed by it. life is an apprenticeship, as is love. silence, pretense, love as devotion… devotion, just devoting myself to love and loving and channeling it all into one person. making that person conceptual more than anything.

taking a lot of notes! but ah some times it feels repetitive & almost surficial. maybe it’s because i’m reading from a practitioners mind and not so much as a reader who enjoys reading about the human condition/experience. regardless, this is such an important read for me!
