These last ten pages haven’t been too crazy but that part about the baby and the fire was really insane to me it is just wild to think that those men could have ate that baby the relationship between the boy and the man is the same nothing different other than I feel like the boy is slightly different from the start of the book to now

The book is a little repetitive but still good my favorite part of the pages I read was the conversation about the boys dream the man kinda says even though there is misery it’s okay because once everything becomes sunshine and rainbows then it’s like giving up I don’t really know how to explain

I haven’t read in a couple days but I read today and I feel good these last 40 pages were interesting my favorite parts were the proper dinner the boy and the man had at the bunker and then the other part was the conversation that the man had with the old man it was interesting I don’t know if the old man purposely acted clueless but he seemed to not care about anything which was in itself interesting

These last twenty pages have been repetitive and although it’s been repetitive I’m not bored you know it’s still interesting I like the whole idea of them carrying the fire it’s an interesting idea it’s like they’re humanity or something and also the whole bad guys good guys thing

I’m loving the story it’s just an amazing thing to see a father willing to do anything for his son you know like willing to die or whatever my favorite part was when they went in that house and found all those people locked under that was really surprising but not surprising since it’s the apocalypse if that makes sense

These last 20 pages have been adding to the story not my favorite sitting but it was interesting my favorite part was the distraction of the people/group that was marching down the street the quote on quote “bad guys” that the boy talks about I loved the description but apart from that my sitting was mid

So far the book is interesting the setting is quite captivating as the world is burning so that’s something I also am enjoying the whole father and son relationship that part where the guy had the kid scared me but it’s fine I also liked how the kid was worried about them being the bad guys because I don’t think anyone wants to be the bad guys well maybe some people but the kid definitely doesn’t

Again it’s building upon the relationship the two have the man/father struggles a lot to keep his son alive he’s so far had to climb a mountain and endure that physical pain they also seem to really avoid people which is super understandable considering that it’s an apocalypse also my favorite thing in these 15 pages was the dream about a penguin that nobody turned its winder

These last ten pages have been building on the relationship between the boy and the father my favorite part was the whole Coca Cola part because I can relate even though we aren’t in an apocalypse we can still stop and enjoy the little things in life because we might not ever get to enjoy or experience them again

So far it’s an interesting dynamic between son and father the father obviously wants to protect his son and is trying to stay focused and not have what are stupid dreams to him so far they’re goal is to go south where it is less cold apparently

I enjoy seeing Kate worry and struggle the only issue is that I don’t like how she’s like fantasizing about meeting Aron he’s not really my favorite character far from it to be honest but I don’t think he could handle meeting his mother

I wanted to stop before I start the last 100 pages just because I’m not prepared I don’t really want it to end it’s such a good book and honestly I feel like I haven’t had enough time with the newer characters like cal and abra I don’t really like Aron tbh he seems like he believes he’s better than everyone cal seems more human to me

Cal is my new favorite character in this book he has for the most part overcome his evil he’s separated the idea of him being like his parents and his own decisions and he’s also gone into business with will Hamilton which I thought was amazing

So far I’m really enjoying how cal is kind of rebelling and not becoming like his predecessors I loved the conversation he had with Lee about how everyone has that side in them and that you can’t blame your parents or other things on you doing those things because at the end of the day your you and you chose that

I’m kinda sad that every time something goes good or remotely happy it gets bad I had a feeling Dessie would die and she did like bro why that makes me feel sad

I like the arch going on between Dessie and tom it seems they have eachother now to comfort them since they are missing there father

So far I find the book to be amazing it’s really good the story is quite interesting i didn’t like that Samuel died of course but that’s life as he says and I really like how the book talks about how we can choose to be evil or not thou mayest as they say I hope that prayer that cal said is truly answered I hope he doesn’t turn out like his forefathers
