There is a lot more beating and abuse than I need. Ditto for homophobia. But, girl, I’m hooooooooked.

I love Bob and they’re so creative and gifted at drag and entertaining in general. But I’m on the fence about this book.

Not enjoying this at all. I would have left the hotel by now. I also see the remainder of the plot so clearly I will be gobsmacked if I’ve gotten any of it wrong.

So far it’s quite different from the tv series! And it took me a while to just but now, from about 40% of the way, it’s cooking.

I’ve realised I just hate the main character - that’s the problem here.

I thought I would love this book. I anticipated it highly.

I’ve never been so invested in a man tying his shoelaces as I just was in the last scene I read where the main character - after abandoning his children for 4 years - is challenged by one of them to tie his shoelaces. Oddly gripping stuff.

I’m reading this but in English. Can’t find that listed anywhere tho!

She just called JKB A febrile filthy shaman and I don’t think it was a complement.
