I’m really enjoying this lighthearted warmhearted book. It’s simple yet compelling and it’s very cozy so far. I haven’t finished it yet but I’m happy to have bought this book on a whim

End of part one and got up to the book club stopping point. Interesting book and concepts going on. Plot is pretty good although the characters/dialogue are cliche. That bathroom scene was pretty gross which i imagine was his goal. I like the mystery and unraveling of things. So far so good.

DOGMAN CHAPTERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME FUCKKKKK

That west chapter was rough. He has disappointed me so much. I used to like him for his empathy and seeming goodness and now it all just crumbles. Maybe he’s being corrupted by some outside influence but I’m not sure. Ardee tough as hell tho, she deserves better. I do hope Jezal and her work out. This whole seed thing is kinda weird and I’m gonna miss yulwei, i like him a whole lot more than bayaz.

Jezal is kinda unbearable….cool perspective tho. Logan the goat as always. The jar. Glokta’s political plotline has been pretty interesting. Ferro was cool we dont really know much about her at all other than vengeance, I want more time with her and yulwei. Dogman chapters are always welcome here.

I can’t believe we are still introducing characters. I haven’t read a book like this before. Just straight character work and like 5 different perspectives that switch every chapter with almost no plot. I got told about it beforehand but reading it is a different experience. Enjoying it tho, love me my Logan chapters.

I feel like I don’t understand what is going on or being said half the time. It’s either that or it’s millennial humor.

My friend said the dialogue was cringey and unrealistic and I kinda see it now. The dialogue does come off very story inserted. Tho I’m very much enjoying the story and the setting.

It’s good I enjoy his writing style. I also have the mass market paperback which might be my preferred copy of books.

West chapter was unexpected but welcome for its freshness. I still don’t care about glokta as a character but his storyline is getting interesting. Jezal still cool, big guy was sick
