This is a sweet story set before the turn just before the turn on the 20th century. It follows a nurse and a Lieutenant during the Spanish-American war.
I had never read anything from this time. I thought it was a really sweet love story. I learned so many interesting things. This was very very well. If anyone is interested in history, this is one book I definitely recommend.

This was a really well written story. I never saw any of the twists coming.

It was a very well-written story that threw in many twists and turns (most of who I never saw coming). It was very engaging. I was personally disappointed in how graphic it got. I don’t agree with the LGBTQ+ agenda so I didn’t like reading about it. There was also much more foul language than I am used to reading. I didn’t care for it. It was thoroughly unnecessary. Overall it would get 2.75 Stars from me.
