Rip breaks her down during their training fight, makes her use her ribbons and she finally admits to being Fae. This really scares her because all of Orea hates the Fae.

At this point when Chaol sees Celaena dancing outside of the Royal ball, he truly sees her as a person & he realizes there’s no coming back from falling for her. He says he steps up to the line in the sand and he’s not gonna stay on the other side of it away from her anymore. Celaena tells him she wishes she could be just a girl then they say they’ll never be just a normal girl, a boy

She legit just said she felt safest with Chaol

Celaena continues going back to Chaol. She is starting to trust him. After getting poisoned by Davis, she runs right to his office in the castle.

I loved this scene between Rip & Auren with Ostrik being a fun bystander. Rip is trying his hardest to break down Auren’s misguided feelings towards Midas… and it pisses Auren off to no end. The enemies are enemying.

So far Queen Malina is redeeming herself for taking by her throne. Jury is still out but at least we know why she has hate and resentment in her heart.
