it is captivating, but intense. i found myself deeply hating some of the characters. the power of the writing is really strong and i cannot let the book down.

it is getting really interesting, the main character is out in the wild world, looking for a way to go north. The scenes become so vivid and life-like, the horror that she must endure is terrifying but it keeps me hooked on the pages. I find myself not wanting to let the book down until I have finished another chapter.

it is definitely an interesting read, although the main character didn’t escape from the neighbourhood in search for a better living, even though she got prepared. the “earthseed: the books of the living” is really interesting and i agree with a lot that is saying about God.

the book is really a slow burner. some moments I have found myself irritated at the characters’ decisions to reminisce over the past in the most suspenseful scenes. it is brilliant.

it’s getting harder and harder to leave the book off my hands. The book gradually gives glimpses of what eerie things happened during leah’s mission.

i am getting closer and closer to finding out what has happened on leah’s mission. the book has a slow burn for unfolding the story and i love it.

I really like the writing style, especially the back and forth between miri’s perspective on the events that led to her wife’s peculiar behaviour, and leah’s research mission on the submarine.

So far, it has become clear that the book has an easy writing style. I observed some cliche passages and I hope the author will allow the protagonist to explore his identity in a more nuanced style by the end of the book.
