Zeus sending a deceptive dream to Agamemnon promising victory. Agamemnon tests his army's morale by telling them to go home, but panics when they actually rush to the ships. Odysseus and Nestor rally the men, Thersites is beaten for insubordination, and the massive "Catalog of Ships" details the Greek and Trojan forces.

King Agamemnon refuses to ransom a captive woman named Chryseis to her father, a priest of Apollo. A furious Apollo sends a deadly plague upon the Greek army. When Agamemnon is forced to give her back, he takes Achilles’ captive woman, Briseis, instead, sparking a massive rage that causes Achilles to quit the war.

Hermes guides the slain suitors' souls to Hades where they recount the massacre. Odysseus reunites with his grieving father, Laertes, proving his identity with his childhood scar. When the suitors' angry relatives attack, Athena intervenes and commands both sides to forge a lasting peace.

Eurycleia wakes Penelope to announce that Odysseus has returned and killed the suitors. Penelope remains deeply cautious and tests Odysseus's identity by asking a servant to move their bridal bed. When Odysseus angrily describes how he built the immovable bed around a living olive tree, Penelope finally accepts that he is her real husband.

Odysseus drops his beggar disguise and teams up with Telemachus, Eumaeus, and Philoetius to slaughter all the arrogant suitors taking over his home. With help from the goddess Athena, they win the brutal fight, execute disloyal servants, and clean the bloody hall.

Penelope sets up a contest for the suitors: the man who can string Odysseus's massive hunting bow and shoot an arrow through twelve axe heads will win her hand. All the suitors fail to bend the bow. Disguised as a beggar, Odysseus succeeds with ease, signaling the start of his revenge.

An anxious Odysseus struggles to sleep while plotting his revenge. Guided by divine omens from Zeus and reassurance from Athena, he endures final insults from the arrogant suitors before the looming bloodshed of the upcoming contest.

Odysseus and Telemachus hide the palace weapons. Disguised as a beggar, Odysseus talks with Penelope, who does not know him. The old nurse Eurycleia washes his feet and spots a distinct scar from a boar hunt, recognizing him. Penelope then announces an upcoming archery contest to choose a new husband.

The disguised Odysseus fights a local arrogant beggar named Irus for territory inside his own palace. After easily breaking Irus's jaw, Odysseus warns one kinder suitor of doom, watches Penelope trick the suitors into giving her gifts, and berates disloyal palace maids.

Odysseus returns to his own palace in Ithaca disguised as a poor beggar. Along the way and inside his home, he faces cruel abuse from the arrogant suitors and rejoins his loyal son, Telemachus, while quietly laying the groundwork for his revenge.

Odysseus reunites with his son Telemachus at the swineherd Eumaeus's hut. With help from the goddess Athena, Odysseus drops his disguise, reveals his true identity, and begins planning revenge against the greedy suitors taking over his palace.

Athena urges Telemachus to leave Sparta and return to Ithaca. She warns him of the suitors' ambush, instructs him to bypass the islands, and tells him to first visit Eumaeus the swineherd. Telemachus departs with Pisistratus, picks up a fleeing prophet named Theoclymenus, and safely reaches Ithaca, while Odysseus and Eumaeus share stories at the hut.

A newly returned Odysseus arrives in Ithaca and goes to the hut of his loyal swineherd, Eumaeus. Disguised as a beggar by Athena, Odysseus tests the swineherd's hospitality and loyalty, hears of the chaos caused by the greedy suitors, and fabricates a false background story about himself.

Odysseus boards the Phaeacian ship loaded with bronze, gold, and fine garments. Poseidon grows furious that Odysseus has escaped his wrath and reached home safely with so much wealth. As their ship nears its home port, Poseidon turns it to solid stone and threatens to wall in their city with a ring of high mountains. Odysseus wakes up to Athena. She reveals he is in Ithaca. She transforms him to hide his identity.

Odysseus and his crew go back to Aeaea to perform funeral rites and bury their fallen comrade. Circe gives him advice on his future trip with the sirens and the narrow strait. The crew decides to go on an island that’s home to the sun god. They eat the cattle which Odysseus tells them not to eat. When they set sail Zeus attacks their ship with lightning. Odysseus drifts to Calypso’s island in 10 days.

Odysseus travels to the Underworld. Following Circe’s instructions, he performs a sacrifice with black sheep, creating a pool of blood that attracts the spirits of the dead. He speaks with the blind prophet Tiresias, who warns him about his journey home and the cattle of Helios, his mother Anticleia, and various fallen Trojan War heroes and mythical figures.

Odysseus visits Aeolus, king of the winds, who gives him a bag of stormy winds. When near home, his curious crew opens the bag, blowing them back. After surviving giant cannibals, they land on Circe’s island, where she turns his men into pigs before Odysseus rescues them. She also tells Odysseus to visit Persephone on his way back. He will make a journey through the underworld.

Odysseus reveals his identity to King Alcinous and the Phaeacians. He begins recounting his harrowing journey from Troy, detailing the disastrous raid on the Cicones, the hypnotic distraction of the Lotus-Eaters, and his brutal encounter with the one-eyed Cyclops, Polyphemus.

An assembly happens! Games go on and stories are told and all that. The song about the battle of Troy causes Odysseus to get emotional and weep.

Odysseus meets the king and queen. The queen realizes he is wearing clothes she has made. She asks him about his upbringings and he explains. Odysseus talks about Calypso and how he was trapped there and how Nausicaa found him. King Alcinous promises him a ship home.

Odysseus wakes up naked after a long night and after surviving a storm. Athena visits Princess Nausicaa and tells her to go to the river. Odysseus I woken up by Nausicaa and her maids. Nausicaa tends to Odysseus. Odysseus is told to walk to the city behind the wagon to not raise suspicion. She tells him to get in contact with King Alcinous and Queen Areta who are her parents for guidance.

Zeus orders Hermes to go to Calypso to tell her to release Odysseus. She helps him build a raft to leave, but Poseidon destroys it in a storm. He swims for two days and lands ashore on the island of the Phaeacians.

Telemachus meets Menelaus with Pisistratus. Menelaus along with other mourns Odysseus and Helen recognizes that Telemachus is Odysseus’s son. Helen and Menelaus talk about Odysseus a lot. Menelaus was told he is alive and on an island called Calypso. The suitors in Ithaca are plotting to kill Telemachus. Penelope is very sad after hearing Telemachus set sail. Athena reaches out to her to tell her that he is safe.

Telemachus visits Nestor at Pylos. He asks of his history with his father. He tells him about the Trojan war and the victory there and about how all the leaders all split up after. Agamemnon was killed by his wife, Cylmnestra at the hands of Aegisthus. Orestes avenged Agamemnon and killed them. He tells Telemachus defend his home as well. Nestor provides horses and his son, Pisistratus rides with him to Sparta.

Telemachus is setting sail to Sparta and Pylos. He doesn’t tell anyone his plans and is guided by Athena. Antinous tells Telemachus that his mom needs to stop leading the suitors on. Telemachus sets sail and has men and a ship with the help of Athena.

Honestly what a start. Rumors of Odysseus being alive or dead. Athena visits Telemachus(Odysseus’ child) to inspire him. She urges him to visit people to see if they can get any clues. Athena tells him that his father is alive, but needs to set out and figure out for himself. Penelope(Odyessus’ wife) has many suitors due to Odysseus being gone as well.

Haymitch remembers Lenore as older now and as someone who has grown up with him. He tells Peeta and Katniss about Maysilee who was the owner of the mockingjay pin. He reflects on how Katniss has stopped the sun from rising on reaping day. The capitol can no longer do what they had been doing again.

Haymitch recounts the death of Lenore and keeps seeing ghosts as well. He starts drinking to forget although he never will. Effie finds him and tells him they need to get ready for the victory tour. Plutarch tells him he’s exactly who they need for the rebellion. Haymitch dismisses him and tells him that is pathetic. Haymitch reflects on eveything and remembers Sid telling him happy birthday on reaping day.

Haymitch goes on countless tours with the capitol. He gets back to district 12 to see that his house is on fire and that Ma and Sid die with it. All three other tributes from 12 are buried along with Ma, Sid and Wyatt Callow’s dad who killed himself after
seeing his dead son. Haymitch goes far away so he’s not around 12 so much. He runs into Lenore Dove and they reunite. She sadly dies from gumdrops.

Haymitch wakes up and is surrounded by a bunch of peacemakers. He is hooked up to things. Effie comes in and helps dress him for the recap of the games. Caesar greets him and the recap starts. Haymitch states how it’s not true inside and the ending is all off. It was changed for a narrative. Snow comes down and tells Haymitch to enjoy his homecoming.
