So far much more human than meditations and truly refreshing

Book 6 and 7 are amazing.

This is a whistle-stop tour of geopolitics, but, to ground it, references physical geography a couple of quite unconvincing times per chapter. Certainly not a bad book and I’m thoroughly enjoying it, but the whole geography and maps part is such a minor part and feels rushed into the end of a point sometimes.

Holden getting mad and claiming Lillian ‘ruined his night’ because HE decided to lie and claim he was meeting a girl and consequently had to leave the club to avoid his lie getting caught pretty much sums him up

Whilst it’s evidently the point, this book is so overwritten it’s not enjoyable to read whatsoever. Nothing is ever explained, everything is described in metaphors. I suppose the intention was that the entire time travel war is ancillary to the love story but I have no clue why these women are falling in love
