The writing style makes enjoying this book almost impossible to me.

Almost halfway through and I have no idea what the aim is, nor do I care to find out. Trigger warnings are heavily needed.

Finished 5 chapters. Just felt too edgy for my taste, for the sake of being one. Meh.

Hmmm, as always, his books are not easy reads.

Done with part 1, and as always with Uehashi-sensei’s work, there is a dense mention of places and politicking to keep track of. So far, the world is pretty interesting and so is Aisha’s “ability” and I’m definitely looking forward to see where we go from here.

Part 1 done. Very very interesting. Kind of between cosy and not, which is a good mix so far.

Next 3 were not fun at all.

The next trio had 2 interesting ones, and the last one (The Last Magician) was sadly the least enjoyable one by far.

First 3 down, only the final story “Season of the Soulless” was enjoyable to me.

Interesting, although I’m finding myself agreeing with the supposed antagonists a bit too much. It’s also a bit more preachier than I expected.
