So good so wholesome, delicious

Almost halfway done in one sitting…holy cow that’s a lot of book to process. It’s good though, it has some of the most direct connections to the other books so far, though I don’t know how I feel about the portrayal of Ulrich and Zel. I am assuming this is going to turn into a story for how Cinder’s glass slipper is presumably made, but having not read that book yet who knows. So far it’s good though.

This book keeps surprising me with the really short chapters and then BAM big one…but it’s good. Some of the food stuff was maybe kinda boring (not my favorite fairy tale) but also the scene with food involved made me very uncomfortable sensory wise. I can’t believe how close I am to finishing this book, but I really need to pause and rest before I read the lengthy epilogue.

I am liking the shorter chapters in this book, gives me more flexibility with my reading…Zel had some really long chapters.

Definitely more dark than the others in the series, and the writing so far is much more simultaneous perspectives as opposed to the first two books, which were one perspective at a time, and often a sort of main perspective we’d see do several chapters before switching to a glimpse of the other perspective.

I honestly can’t feel too much of a difference between this book and the last despite it being different authors. I do greatly enjoy how this book and Red both have perspectives, but pretty minimal for the secondary character…I love how much it twists my perspective when I least expect it.
