so excited to be getting to this one, already a little uneasy and loving the mixed media between chapters!

I'm very interested to see where the last third of this book goes, but so far I'm thinking Paul Tremblay just might be for me, as I've suspected for a while :)

the audiobook is incredible and tandem reading this was a great call.

part 3, let's gooooo

gagged, absolutely shocked.

It was feeling very dense at the beginning, had to really concentrate and be extremely engaged and look up pronunciation and some definitions in the glossary to get a handle on what the heck was going on but I feel like by around 70 pages in through now it's definitely felt like it's opened up and the plot is truly going and it's flowing more easily. Really enjoying the vibe so far.

I love this book so far, what a great initial hook to grab people.

I'm struggling with this one a bit, I won't lie. It's not that I'm not liking it or that it's fundamentally bad or anything that extreme, it's just not gripping me the same way Dead Silence did, and the writing this time has felt kind of clunky and off here and there, with a REALLY cliche ridiculous moment that threw me,whereas I was locked in and flying through DS, and this one is taking a lot longer. Time will tell

man I LOVE this book, this is seriously so fun and unique and I'm both excited to finish and also kinda bummed the experience is nearly over.
