James Swallow definitely uses a lot more characters and pays attention to connections between legacy characters more than Dayton Ward seemed to in Moments Asunder. Which is why it's so odd that, as of Chapter 7, he has not mentioned Geordi's relationship with Doctor Tamala Harding and, in fact, seems to have replaced her with Dr. Hegol Den...WHO DIED IN THE PREVIOUS BOOK! Oops.

I'm enjoying this so far, although as predicted I'm going much slower through the physical copy of the book than I used to when I was a voracious reader as a kid. And yet, while I love the convenience of audiobooks at work, there's something about holding the book in your hands and reading that Audiobooks can't equal. It's slower, but perhaps more...engaging? I dunno, but it's a good read so far.
