So much has happened...Callie has gone back to faerie, released Liam, discovered the power of Elves gold, met Duncan wizard, shapeshifted twice, and participated in spell circles with other witches. All the while she's being ensnared by a romantic apparition.

Early part of the book appropriately centers on the physical, metaphysical, and emotional balance of Elena and Raphael. Though no longer human, she is still weak. Ellie is already a target of Mikayla & now Lijuan? And, now a mystery to solve!

All I can say is ... holy dragged out surprise ending. Brandi and Able's experience was slightly different than Dani & Chase but Tessa's brief integration was unexpected. Still want to kick Griffin in the backside of course!

Story can be so frustrating. Griffin continues to cower and stick his head in the sand. Ugh!

Mercy is a strong female yet very unique among this genre. She's sensitive, intuitive, loyal, and quite independent. Great first edition.

Han is trying to navigate the politics of the "blue bloods." He has become more enigmatic than before.

Han is finally committed to the cause and gets very creative in how to rally the people on behalf of Queen Raisa.
