It's been a while since I sent an update here for this book, but i have been flying through it. I am just as desperate as the characters are for their reunion. I really love this series, and I am concerned at the same time since there is one more book. I am incredibly anxious for what will happen next.

Lovely continuation so far. If it keeps up like this I will probably like it more than the forst book. Great slow burn

I am very happy with the direction at the moment. The previous section in Lazarevo kinda disappointed me, but I am back in. I'm very excited to see how this ends. Honestly, I wanted to scream at my book for them to go to America together. I feel like they probably will.

These most recent few chapters haven't been my favorite. While I have enjoyed the slow burn aspect to this book, these few I just read were incredibly repetitive. While I get what the author was going for, this section really could've benefitted being trimmed down. Way too much sex talk, too. I get it's a romance, but wholy moly. I like where it is headed now, though. Optimistic about how it will end.

This book has been astounding. Despite it being fiction, this story manages to encapsulate a very real retelling of actual historical events. The various descriptions, especially during the actual invasion, were incredibly hard-hitting topics yet delivering this sense of hope and pushing despite everything.

Sidenote: I often was hungry during this book because of how often hunger and food are mentioned iykyk

This story has been so compelling. I really adore the two main characters and adore how much I hate the rest. I think this was intentional given the forbidden romance aspect of this book. The thing about this book is that it isn't really marked by world altering events but instead human moments that have arched slowly. Love the development so far. 👌

It's a bit of a slow burn, but it is making it all the more compelling. To avoid spoilers that aren't in the book blurb, the tension happening right now is so enthralling. The combo of the characters unease from war looming and the readers' knowledge of Leningrad being attacked eventually are blending masterfully.
While this is occurring, there is a beautifully written and tender romance blooming. Lovely story so far

Truly the Lightbringer.
This comic has been such an experience. It seems I am just addicted to the world of Lucifer. I was skeptical about this second volume at first, but it has become some of the most complex and story rich fiction I have ever consumed. The chapters "Morningstar" were just sublime. Amazing action, motivations, plot development, and the art...grand
Finishing this story will be so bittersweet

I just can't get enough of this series. I have adored everything about it. This book, similarly to the first, started a bit slow, but it has really picked up. I can tell its only going to get better

"The past is soil. The future is what breaks, ceaselessly, from that soil and rears itself towards the sky.
In hope...
In beeseeching...
In furious rage...
We can never know of what we are the seeds...
Until we Flower"

This book has conti used to impress me with bounds that compare only to my most favorite comics ever. The storytelling is incredibly top-notch, and the fight between amendiel and lucifer, although short, was epic beyond proportion with a fantastic twist. 20/10

Wow wow wow wow. Just finished the chapter "a dalliance with the damned". Genuinely, some of the best fiction I've ever read. Lys being poisoned by pain was such an incredible part. What a bitter irony. Also, Christopher Rudd was so dang cool. Aside from Mazikeen, he is my favorite side character. I hope there is more of him in the book.

This book has been absolutely phenomenal so far. I am astounded how even though it isn't written by gaimen, it's unmistakable how much it emanates the vibe of the sandman universe. Lucifer is a superb character. He is incredibly charismatic and hilariously sarcastic and witty. This book has been everything I've wanted and more. Incredible art on display as well 🥳🥳

I am very curious how gaimen intends to finish this story. After reading volume 2/3 I am very excited to continue but I also feel volume 2 lacked a bit compared to 1. While there were good moments, there was also a decent bit of just meandering around with nothing really of yield occurring. I assumed by this point more would've happened but it seems like it has been still a foundation for the "big storm".Hopeful still

Finished volume 1/3. Absolutely lovely book so far. Shadow is a fantastic main character, and Wednesday is a great opposite to him. As per Gaimen's typical style, the offshoot in-universe side stories are always a joy to read. One that stood out specifically for this volume was the Jinn taxi cab driver. I am very excited to continue with volume 2.
