Finally getting around to this Paperbacks from Hell “classick”! So far pretty grimy and mean. Glad Fathom Press reprinted it!

Not my usual read but I’ve been hearing about this series *forever*—kind of like a dirty raunchy historical PG Wodehouse!

Donner should get more love! Enjoying this lively bio of the lively guy who directed The Omen, Superman 1 and 2, The Goonies, Lethal Weapon(s), Scrooged, and more—wow!

So far a good solid Trav McGee crime adventure with his usual trenchant social and psychological insights and healthy appreciation of the female form ;-)

Solid detective novel, digging how the second half is set in Iran. I’ve never read a book set in Iran before, pretty interesting

Perfectly cromulent. Didn’t realize what a drunk he was back in the ‘70s while making some of the best movies ever!

Not even much of a Roth fan, and this book didn’t make me one, but I just like bios of authors. Pretty painstaking detail here.
