I’m at the section involving friendships and relationships and it’s really good! I’m learning I have work on my own part that can make my friendships and relationships 10x better.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been able to sit down and read… I miss it! Wanted to share this with you!

Wisdom is accepting that there are things you cannot force:
People change when they are ready
Creativity moves at its own rhythm
Healing does not have a time limit
Love blooms when things align

I’m not really liking how she’s describing getting over a breakup… seems more like avoiding it than actually sitting and accepting the person is gone.. but I like this quote..

“Time doesn’t heal all wounds. What you do with your time does”

Healing is like a game.. the person you love must choose to play.. offering support is like throwing someone the ball.. you can toss the ball to them over and over but they have to choose to catch it.. recognize your situation, if they’re unwilling to catch, stop throwing.. cause deep down you know as soon as they are ready to catch, you will toss to them

I’ve always been told “comparison is the thief of joy”.. but through reading, I’ve learned that I can use the natural comparing that I do to fuel my steps… if someone is in the position I want, they laid the foundation, why can I not do it better by learning from them…

“You get one wild and precious life, so go live it in a way that makes you proud”

Two points:
“First, even when you bend over backward and try to please everyone, and make it work, even THAT won’t guarantee that other people will think a positive thought”

“Second, don’t be the person who bends over backward to make everyone happy. I used to be that person. It left me depleted and feeling like nothing I could do was ever good enough”

Just do you, someone will always have an opinion
