Things are happening all over the place! More information on Carter's backstory and his current bad reputation. The unfortunate fate of the Bell-Asandro family throwing another wrench in their investigation.

It's just getting better and better with each chapter.

Gellica and Carter's interactions so far have been great. Digging the flirtatious exchanges between 'em.

## Chapters 6-10
The developing relationship between Carter and Ajax is a treat.

The way magic works is intriguing as hell. In chapter 10 we see our second glimpse at it, and while some of the descriptions made me a tiny bit squeamish I was on the edge of my seat during the entire thing.

Worldbuilding continues to be a highlight.

So far the first 5 chapters are great! Our lead detective is the picture book of a hardboiled detective who doesn't get along with his higher ups and the relationship with his new partner is sublime. Worldbuilding has been a highlight of the book so far. Expertly introduced without over-exposition, top notch stuff!

Wrapped up Part II. Love Keith's take on vampires so far.

While I think Fever House is the better book of the two (so far) I'm still enjoying the hell out of it!

Started reading this one 'cause I wanted to dive a bit into Rosson's catalogue before reading the fever house sequel.

A bit of a slower start, love the family dynamics at play. The ending of the first Act is really interesting, excited to see where it goes!

Finished... the chapter with Goud and his conversation with Nick and Rachman were amazing. The final interactions between Weils and Bonner were great. The ending though... I don't quite know how to feel about it for now. I know that there's a sequel continuing the story of Nick Coffin and his mother Katherine, I just wish that this one had a more rounded ending I guess. I don't need everything wrapped up in a bow....

It happened... my boy Hutch... RIP.

Got to Act 3, taking an unwanted break. Hutch continues to be a favorite... man is it going to suck when he dies... there's no way he makes it, right?

Still rad. Twisting in unpredictable directions. It's really gonna suck when Hutch dies though...

So far, metal as fuck. Completely Wicked... though sad about TIM
