excellent creature design, reminds me of as above so below with the delving into the crypt

super great, getting game of thrones dialogue in this, love the premise, great setting, have to reread some parts because the dialogue is very layered

i’m absolutely loving this book, it’s got everything in here

one of the rare cases where i actually care about the characters being shown to me, interesting prologue and understandable motivations

damn that last passage was good, i still don’t know what the gargoyles mean i thought the window was gonna be like a 1 way mirror at first but that changed things.

i have no idea what i’m reading so far so many different viewpoints and scenes but i’m not recognizing a flowing plot as much as i think i should

i like the characters, they feel very real and understandable perspectives

seems like the ending is right around the corner when i realized i’m only a quarter through, very in depth characters and believable intentions, still wondering when it’s gonna go back to the plot line of the married couple.

such a creative premise and execution, absolutely love it so far.
