I overall agree with the message. However, the demonizing of screens is a bit heavy handed and without nuance. Additionally, each chapter basically repeats the same message over and over and over again, just in different ways that are still not that unique. And the chapters are LOOOONG. How many more ways can you tell me that reading aloud for kids is good?

"Horror, more than its literary cousins, fantasy or scifi can simply state its premise and convince you to go along with it. There's no elaborate World building required; a magic system w/ convoluted rules, a political dystopia with an extensive history behind it. Yes, there is a boogeyman under the bed. Yes the house is not sane. That is that and if you're going to keep reading you better accept it and in a hurry!"
