I did that thing that I shouldn't have where I read reviews about the book while I'm in the early stages of it and a handful were bad reviews. I even put it on a mini pause because I was so discouraged. I'm here to say, "DON'T DO THAT!" I'm loving this book. I really like the characters. The review I read claimed this as a man-hater book and honestly... good. SOMETIMES we SHOULD hate men.

Cool, this takes place in Hemlock, Oregon! I know that place! Oh, it's nestled at the foot of a mountain? Hemlock? It's near the California border. HEMLOCK? It's 2 hours from the casino up the freeway. What freeway? Do you mean the highway and Spirit Mountain is only 45 minutes away? HEMLOCK, OR is 13 mins south of Tillamook. What are you talking about?

Oh... This is a made up Hemlock, OR. I see.

I'm nervous. The first page is "A Playlist for Spells and Magic" which is already cringe enough. But the playlist also has not one, but THREE Taylor Swift songs on it. I'll report back.
