So cool reading about Augustine reading the Aeneid and other books we still read today, as well as his experiences as a young boy. A reminder even across time we have more in common with each other than we often realize.

Idk if I'm autistic but this book is helping me and I am grateful.

I love this so far!

I find Camus' writing enjoyable and the feelings and realities he describes understandable, but the conclusions seem illogical and depressing. Let me finish reading though.

I wish I could upload pictures because today I realized there is a really cool table of contents in this book that categorizes the types of prayers/reflections in it. I've been just going in order, usually one per day, but I like the TOC because now I can go to a specific thing I would like help praying about, e.g. reflection "34. Dealing with social situations" or "45. Seeing Jesus in the Eucharist."

I bought this online and I didn't realize it's broken down by day. I like it! It will obviously take a bit to finish and rate.

I read the main body and appendices of this book, and I found it informative as well as comforting at times. It will take a while to finish the rest of the book because it is composed of 52 meditations, and I would like to take my time with them. I'm grateful for this book and Fr Schneider's ministry.

This is a fascinating book. I am finding it challenging, but not impossible.

Incredibly beautiful.

I started chapter 1. Pope Leo reaffirms that the Church does not seek to overpower politics or science, but that the Church's social doctrine provides a foundation for discernment about how to serve the common good. I can't help notice the references to Pope Francis' encyclicals and documents from the Second Vatican Council. Very interesting.

The story, characters, and many things they discuss are very interesting. But I take issue with either the translation or the editing or both. Certain passages can be entirely skipped over. I suppose they drone on to convey the feeling of one character listening to another (being lectured to or talked at), but I feel it is just too much. Invested in the story though.

Pope Leo XIV introduces his letter with two images from the Old Testament. On the one hand, the construction and destruction of the tower of Babel. On the other, the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. Technology can be used in such a way that dehumanizes us and attempts to reach Heaven "without God's blessing," or it can be used for the common good of all people. Let us choose wisely how we use it.
