DNF - and I am not a person who doesn't finish books. I stopped middle of book 1. I'm from Louisiana. This book was cringy.

This author should come with a Kleenex warning. The emotional connection to the characters is amazing.

I'm actually listening to it on Audible - so page numbers don't really work. Chapter 13 of 20.

So far, it's amazing. I've read fantasy series for years and this one has a lot of unique features in the story line. And quite a few unexpected twists. I'm really enjoying it.

Seriously - I keep thinking: this one is going to suck. Statistically speaking at least one of these should suck a little, right? Nope. I'm wiping tears away and laughing out loud during different parts of these books. This author is amazing!
