The grandmother is legit missing- an elderly woman just goes missing- poof! And these two modern day teens are just like, "Ope, that's weird- let's eat cake and stare at this weird book", the excuse for not calling the cops is bad too. IRL they'd report her missing and leave out the trippy magic bs. Leah is a kid, just turned 18. She's not in school, no phone, missing grandmother... omg this doesn't make any sense.

The marroweels are so cool lol. Also, I'm really suspicious about the guardian, it's weird that the crew doesn't keep formalities with Zavier, very sus.

So the prince can speak! I am starting to feel horrible for Odessa. She comes off as very laid back, and idgaf but she is so sad about leaving. I feel for her ladies maids too. Sucks that she didn't leave them and take Mae's.

I'm seriously interested in how this is going to go, the guardian and the Prince are clearly going to be the love interests, and the magic priests are 8/10 creepy lol.

Chapter 1: I'm enjoying the story so far. Seems very mysterious. However the author has a couple favored words, like soften or soft. And it also read rather mechanically at first. I have a feeling once this story gets rolling, the author will find her rhythm! I have faith. The grandmother also lovely, she had some good lines I highlighted.

I wasn't sure what I thought at first, the male lead is your typical charming arrogant guy. Hopefully there's more to him.

It's good so far, I'm liking the villain and the love interest. And our protagonist is also pretty interesting, but so far I feel like the characters aren't as interesting as I'd like.
