I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this!

I dislike the "fake relationship so they share a bed" trope. It crops up all the time in romantasy novels & it never seems nessecary. It would be so easy to get another room or a bed or a couch. Nobody is ever paying that much attention to the relationship to know if they are sleeping in the same bed.

Then they wake up right beside each other & it's so cute that I forgive the unnecessaryness of it all. 🫶

This story is so interesting, I'm only a third of the way done but I'm already thinking of how I could reread it.

I spent alot of the day multitasking while listening to this. I had forgotten how handy audiobooks are!

This is my 1st audiobook in a while, reading it as a standalone.

She'd read to him from the Percy Jackson series, reminding Dax that just because he couldn't be a football star anymore, he could still be a hero.

I opened this, saw there were 118 chapters & got scared. Not to worry, though: they are all short. (I think, maybe there is a lot of variation.)

This book is so interesting. The worldbuilding is great the lovers started loving too hard, stuff happened, so now it's back to not lovering to "protect her"
I can't wait to see where this story goes.

The world is sickening. When a man dies so must his wife. A king died, so they burned his 53 concubines. This has left me absolutely reeling.

This is such an interesting book so far, I can't wait to see where it goes!

Excited to get into this, the grounds of it is so interesting and relevant.
