Loving the Viking inspired lore tired within the story so far. I’ve been introduced to Orka, Varg, & Elvar now, the storytellers of this tale.

Genuinely loving this and think about it ever second of the day. This might make me an epic fantasy girly

I’m very I trusted by the beginning of this story; of a girl that can see ghosts, and even see death

Things are happening quickly, and I can’t wait to see how it continues to unfold

I’m intrigued and thrilled by the story so far. Reading this first to get a taste of the world before Priory, and it has me in a chokehold. I’m genuinely enjoying flipping through the glossary when I find something I don’t know, along with following the map to wherever our characters are.

I did not see any of that coming. There was one sentence previously that’s had me worried I had made my hopes too high for this book, but it has since been redeemed - and surpassed. I fear I’m about to go down a rabbit hole reading all of Jonathan Sims’ work.

So far, it’s a slower pace and while I’m intrigued by the story, it’s hard to keep my attention on this for long.

A twist I didn’t expect, I can’t wait to see the ending

I can already tell, this will end with 4.5-5 stars. It’s chilling, paranormal, and grotesque featuring eldritch horror and creeping dread. Going to bed and having that eery feeling of being watched after reading this means Jonathan Sins is doing everything right.

Prologue and first chapter finished - so far I’m enjoying this! Obviously I don’t have much to go on, but I love a prologue that talks about gods and the world before getting into the main story, so that already caught my attention.

The story is set in third person pov, and is very well written.
