After several months of making Dr William Davis' yogurt with no improvement in my IBS-D, I quit reading his Super Gut book!

It's 1961 in a small Minnesota town and death visits in multiple ways. Seen through the eyes of a 13 yo boy, it is tragic and yet heartwarming! I will miss these characters!

I stopped reading for now until bookclub discussion is closer.

I enjoyed this interpretation of the Bible. I finished it 8/24.

Read New Testament first so my daily reading schedule is not on routine as the New Testament is from page 1439 to the end, p 1730 of the Bible. I am currently on page 674 having recently finished wonderful Proverbs!

Didn't keep my attention...I listened on audible but stopped reading after first tape. Great life lessons for a younger person, I suppose. Nice guy.

Too many shenanigans to continue reading! I only have to watch our current government situations! I gave it a fair shot!I am stopping reading this choice!

I think we read about every person who ever tripped in this 414 page tome! It was interesting but the Netflix docuseries of the same name made it more palatable. The author has a fabulous vocabulary, btw!

Great read from the mountains of east Tennessee. Since our granddaughter's, Emma is taking courses at the Farm, it's even more interesting!

Stopped reading

Whew, another book about teenage angst and mental illness! A tough read that had been on my bookshelf too long. The characters were endearing and the emotional pain throbbingly real.

Started and didn't finish.

I'm not a fan of science fiction but enjoyed this little read far more than I thought possible!

Easy, fun read about 2 women of different generations, connected by a scarf and unbelievable tragedy.

Fast paced, fun easy thriller!

This was a fabulously informative read about Genghis Khan. He and his accomplishments were denigrated by early English writers, hiding much for us to learn!

Really faced paced and thrilling entertwined with human frailty and mental disorders.

3 and 1/2 stars is my rating. Harry Bosch, damaged but ever the clever gumshoe never disappoints!

I am only a few chapters in...as usual, painting so many southerners with the brush of bigotry and brutality. I can't handle such inhumanity! I am quitting this read!

This Louise Penny mystery was good but was a slower read than most of hers.

*** &1/2 is my rating. This was a great read about a Washington state rowing team. It's main character was a boy abandoned by his family at age 10 during the depression. The hard scrabble personalities worked as a team to eventually win the 1936 Olympics in Hitler's Germany.
I could have handled a little less about boat building and the multiple boat races but considered it a good read.

Writing so beautiful with building angst that I am slowing down my reading to make it last longer!

If you are reading to preschoolers thru early grammar school, particularly boys who are so active the attention spans are short, the Geronimo Stilton series is the ticket, cute, colorful, & funny!
