My problem is still the writing / level of descriptions / metaphors seem forced / jarring / cringy. And also that there’s not enough description of feelings or building the characters or relationships between them that I care for them or understand their actions.

Slow start but getting more into it now. The style of descriptive writing (like the way details are given/described) isn’t my vibe but the plot is intriguing. Finding the main character a little unlikable.
