(ish.) I don't have the book in front of me, lol.

Camp NaNoWriMo is coming up! Are any of you planing to write anything at this time? What books are you using to help inspire you, if you are participating?

I love how the author blends together personal narratives and the political landscape of the time. And in an easy to read fashion! <3

The book is rather easy to read, it's not dry at all! Many different resources have been used to show what the journey would have been like, and different reasons as to why people would make this taxing trek.

Something interesting to note, is that the Oregon pioneers would have largely been middle class. The upper class had no reason to go, and the lower lacked the funds.

... Robin doesn't care for meat?! Why ... I like it so far except for this gaping flaw. That's what it is in my mind. I think it's just me. Even though it's MY version of Robin who has to like meat. Like how Robin Hood looks like Errol Flynn in my mind. XD

This is just too strange. I'm fine with vegetarian characters, or those who just don't care for meat, but not in Robin.

Gosh this things is long ... And this guy is crazier than I thought. I love him. *hugs*

But I don't care for that purity trait his characters all seem to have ...

I'm loving this so much right now. It's perfect. Ian Doescher creates so much more depth to the otherwise flat characters of the prequel trilogies.

Entertaining, but a little juvenile in comparison to the other DWJ books I've read.

Decent, but I don't think I'm going to like Curzon's voice as much as I enjoyed Isabel's. :/

I want to strangle this author. This charrie is too amazing, his sword can cut trees unrealistically, and she avoids getting the characters into conversations just because she's THIRSTY. GIVE ME A BREAK.
